First of all I'm going to write this in BMish (bm-english) coz I'm a filipina and my bm is very limited.
Okay, so tak expect kena operation sbb my previous births were normal.
To cut short my labour ordeal I end up c section sbb baby dah stress (fatal distress) bersalin kt HKL which is not bad at all !
Ramai org kritik hospital government which I was one of them actually, but then budget wise agak susah so, decided to keep my options open I buat my prenatal dkt KK den decided to bersalin at HKL.
Anyways, after total of 17hrs finally baby safely delivered.
Here's what to expect if you're cesarean at HKL. After leaving the operation room you'll be sent at your ward, mine was 2nd class which is good good enuf for me.
What to expect:-
1. Panas mcm bilik sauna which is good sbb org baru bersalin misti x boleh kena sejuk.
2. Nurses are very helpful and supportive.
3. Few hrs after operation you akan muntah so, stanby plastic siap2. Mcm I nasibbaik simpat muntah dkt plastic makanan I.
4. You x boleh bangun lagi so, kencing ikut tube.
5. Baby akan cot duduk beside you kalau baby x ada ape2.
6. Make sure you ada enough air kosong untuk minum dan flask untuk air panas...x bawak flask x dapat air panas tau.
7. Stanby untuk susukan baby.. mlm2 confirm bby nangis satu mlm sbb lapar nak susu..
8. Bawak extra bantal protect each sidea incase you tertidur sambil pagang baby breast feeding takut bby terjatuh.
9.bawak diaper new born dan baju bby blouse type bukan rompers atau suit, bawak blanket atau lampin untuk ikat bby masa balik jugak.
So, after you survive mlm pertama.. nxt challenge is to survive nxt day plak. Ubat bios will subside, the real pain starts.. Tube untuk kencing pon dah kena cabut so,you have to jalan by yourself pergi toilet. Better bawak pad overnight biasa with wings jgn beli yg untuk maternity punya...sgt susah nak pasang. Pastikan you bawak panties yg besar waistline cut bukan bikin ye..sbb your stitches is bikini cut sakit nanti. Tak boleh mandi lagi, so better bawak face towel untuk lap badan hilangkan busok. Jgn basahkan tempat jahitan.
Paling best you boleh tukar sebanyak kali yg you nak...so kalau baju kutor tukar lah.. kalau lupa bawak towel boleh guna kain2 bersih kt sana untuk lap..
Cita pasal sakit..mmg sakittt lah.. blakang sakit, perut sakit,, time nak kencing pon sakitt. Tahan je lah, sbb kencing banyak kali tu penting untuk recovery...jalan2 penting untuk elak blood clotting dan kaki bengkak... so, bergarak cara slow motion mcm kt movie...jalan cara plahan sambil pegang perut...you x boleh rasa nak berak lagi tau...so inforn nurse,mintak ubat untuk cairkan berak.. jgn tekan perut force berak..so, mlm nurse akan bagi ubat..tunggu and stanby 4 jam mcm tu..bila2 je rasa nak berak dan akan keluar cepat2...hopefully you simpat sampai kt toilet.. :)
Okay, 2nd day munkin doctor will order discharge. Just dangar baik2 instruction mcmna nak inject heparin, yg ubat lain2 biasa je.
Stanby kena bayar below RM600 untuk warga malaysia biasa.. kalau gov worker I think lagi murah.
So, good luck.. keep an open mind. Bersalin kat HKL is a smart choice if you x ada budget 10K nak bersalin kt klinik private.
One valuable lesson I learned. You cant expect 100% normal birth. Sbb anything can happen dlm labour room. Doa banyak2, mintak ampon segala dosa dari mak dan suami, bawak madu untuk ada tenaga time labour..dan suruh suami bawak air mineral dan chocolate just in case you feel haus dan stress masa in labour.
